DENVER, CO (May 24, 2012) – Elitch Gardens Theme & Water Park’s newest water ride, Tube Top, will make a splash in downtown Denver this weekend. The twisting, twirling, totally-enclosed tube slide will debut this weekend with the opening of Elitch Garden’s popular water park.
For the first time in Colorado, thrill-seekers can drop into the whirling excitement of Tube Top, voted Best New Water Park ride by the International Association of Amusement Parks & Attractions. Riding in 4-person cloverleaf shaped tubes, passengers on Tube Top will be drenched by 12,000 gallons of water as they spiral, twist and swirl through the action-packed enclosed slide that features a double spiral, zero gravity funnel and vortex turn.
“Tube Top is one of three new rides to open at Elitch Gardens this year,” said Tracy Durham, the park’s Director of Marketing. “The new rides, along with our new interactive live shows and overall park improvements are part of management’s ongoing commitment to create memories worth repeating for our guests.”
All rides and shows, plus eight concerts and three new rides, are free with park admission.
